In 1977, writer Alan Dean Foster wrote the novelization of Star Wars: A New Hope, and many other adaptations such as Indiana Jones And The Temple of Doom and Alien. As the years went buy, any book he wrote that got a movie adaptation, he receieved royalties. As I have read this article published by Polygon, Foster is not the only person that has stopped receiving royalties. Disney has a royalties problem.
